Paying by Interac at Canadian Online Casinos in 2026
Which sites take an e-Transfer in your province, how much your bank lets through in a day, what a C$1 or C$10 first deposit actually buys, and how long the money takes to come back. Set your province in the panel and the list and rules on this page follow it.

Each province runs its own lottery site; offshore casinos hold foreign licences (Kahnawake, Malta).

Outside Ontario and Alberta you get the offshore brands Canadians actually use, with the welcome terms we could confirm on the operators' own pages this month. Switch to Ontario or Alberta and the list swaps to provincially registered sites, with the offers taken out, because showing them there breaks the advertising rules.

How the scores are worked out
Bonus size counts for less than you might think. A casino earns its number mostly from how it handles Canadian money.
For each site we look at the e-Transfer floor, the pending period, the minimum cashout and the weekly ceiling, as the cashier and the banking terms state them. Bonus terms come from the operator's own promotions page, not from other review sites. When a figure could only be confirmed on an aggregator, the card says "at our last check" instead of stating it as fact.

C$1, C$5, C$10 or C$20: what each first transfer gets you
Your first e-Transfer decides which welcome offer you qualify for and what each spin costs. Going lower doesn't always save money. The cheapest entries usually come with the heaviest playthrough and a C$50 cashout floor.
One dollar
Two brands take a single dollar by e-Transfer and give you something for it. Zodiac Casino hands over 80 chances on the Mega Money Wheel, which sits on top of the Mega Moolah jackpot network. Lucky Nugget gives 40 spins.
Read the second half of both offers before you get excited. Anything those spins win has to be played through 200 times, and neither site pays out below C$50. A C$12 win from your dollar stays on the balance until you either clear it or add money. At most other casinos the payment processor simply rejects a transfer this small.
You'll find plenty of "C$5 deposit" pages online. We couldn't confirm a single C$5 welcome offer paid by Interac that stayed live through this autumn. Most rotate inside loyalty programs or need a card, and the e-Transfer floor at most cashiers is C$10.
Loading C$5 still works at Zodiac and Lucky Nugget after the first deposit. You won't trigger a match. For checking how quickly a new casino pays, that's arguably the smarter move anyway: deposit five, win or lose a little, ask for a withdrawal, and time it.
Welcome offers reachable almost none

Ten dollars
This is where real choice begins. C$10 unlocks the first stage of almost every mainstream welcome package in the country, and it's the standard minimum at Ontario and Alberta registered sites too.
PlayOJO pays its free-spin winnings as cash, with no wagering and no minimum withdrawal. Nothing else on the market is this clean at C$10.
Yukon Gold gives 150 jackpot-wheel chances, the most spins per dollar we found, though the 200x rule applies.
At Jackpot City or Spin Casino, C$10 qualifies for the match but only earns a C$10 bonus. Fine as a trial; poor value as a strategy.
A match bonus pays its full value only when you deposit up to its cap. At Jackpot City that's C$400 per stage; at Royal Vegas, C$300; at Casino Days a single deposit can go to C$2,000. Below the cap, you get a proportionally smaller bonus with the same rules attached.
Newer offshore brands often set their Interac floor at C$20 or C$30 and headline packages in the thousands, spread across four or five deposits. Some put their withdrawal minimum at C$100. Run the actual figures through the calculator below before you choose a size. A bigger match with 50x wagering can easily pay you less than a small one at 25x.
Bonus calculator: does the offer survive the playthrough?
A bonus is play money you pay back in bets. Enter the terms and the calculator shows how much you have to wager, how many spins that takes at your stake, and the amount the game's house edge should take along the way. Pick a casino to fill in its current terms.

These are long-run averages. A real session can land far above or below them. Time estimates assume ten spins a minute. Check the maximum bet allowed while a bonus is active, too: going over it is the most common reason casinos void winnings.
Interac at casinos, 2024 to 2026: the changes that matter
A lot of casino pages still describe payment options that are gone. If a cashier or review mentions "Interac Online", it's out of date. That product was switched off at the end of October 2024, which left e-Transfer, plus Interac debit at a handful of sites.
Then Instadebit, the bank-linked wallet many Canadian players relied on, shut down this year. Deposits stopped in late February and the last day to pull leftover balances was reported as 30 April. If it's still saved as your withdrawal method anywhere, change it before your next cashout.
Alberta matters too. Since July it's no longer a grey market, so Albertans see a different set of sites, different rules on offers, and mandatory limit tools at every registered operator.
One more to watch: Konek, Interac's online checkout with Interac Direct inside. It pulls from chequing, savings or a line of credit. We haven't seen it at a casino cashier yet. If a site claims it, ask support what they really mean.
Ontario opens its licensed market. Public bonus advertising is banned from day one.
Interac Online is discontinued. Casinos using it move to e-Transfer.
Konek launches with Staples as first merchant; BMO, National Bank, RBC, Scotiabank and TD customers get it first.
Instadebit stops deposits, then closes; 30 April is the reported last day to withdraw balances.
Alberta goes live: 22 sites on day one, around 50 operators registered. Age 18.
Alberta's transition window closes. Operators must run an Alberta platform or leave the province.
Behind an e-Transfer deposit
On your screen it's an ordinary e-Transfer. Behind it, the casino almost never touches the money directly. A licensed payment company sits in the middle, and that one fact explains most of the oddities players run into: the unfamiliar name on the statement, the C$10 floor at one site and C$1 at another, the money request that arrives from a company you've never heard of.
The name on your bank account has to match the name on your casino account. A deposit from a partner's account often goes through, and then the withdrawal is blocked at verification weeks later. Use your own account from the first dollar.
Choose Interac in the cashier and type the amount. The minimum is set by the casino and its processor, not by Interac.
The processor's screen asks for your email or mobile number. Some send a money request straight to your banking app; others show a recipient address and a reference code to paste into a new transfer.
You approve it in your bank. It counts against today's sending limit immediately, even before the casino credits it.
The balance updates, usually within minutes. If the reference code was missing, the payment sits unmatched until support finds it. Don't send a second one to fix the first.
Your statement shows the processor. Screenshot the cashier receipt so you can match the two later.
Your bank decides how much you can send
Casino cashiers list high maximums. The limit that actually stops you is your bank's, and for most personal accounts it's about C$3,000 a day. Hit it and every further deposit fails until the window resets.

Avoiding a declined deposit
If you paid rent or split a dinner bill by e-Transfer today, part of the limit is already gone. Look at what's left before opening the cashier.
Planning a bigger first deposit to fill a match? Raise the limit the day before. Some banks apply it instantly, others want a phone call. And most limits roll over 24 hours instead of resetting at midnight, so a transfer sent at 21:40 frees up at 21:40 tomorrow.
On the way back
Receiving caps rarely matter for normal play. A five-figure win paid by e-Transfer can hit one, though, at banks like Tangerine, and casinos have their own weekly ceilings on top. Either way the money comes in instalments.
Turn on Autodeposit for the email you registered at the casino. Payouts land without a security question and can't expire unclaimed.
Payout timing, stage by stage
Deposits take minutes. A withdrawal passes four separate gates, and knowing which one you're stuck at tells you whether to wait or to write to support.

e-Transfer against debit, wallets and vouchers
e-Transfer wins on reach. Nearly every chequing account in the country has it, it qualifies for welcome offers almost everywhere, and it works in both directions. It loses on two counts: the daily cap on the way in, and speed on the way out.
A debit card is the usual backup when you've hit the limit. E-wallets cash out faster at many offshore casinos but add another account to verify. Prepaid vouchers like Paysafecard only deposit, so you'll still need Interac or a bank transfer to get paid. iDebit is the closest bank-linked alternative now that Instadebit is gone; it charges a small fee per payment.

Mega Moolah's 88% isn't a typo. Part of every bet feeds the progressive jackpots, so the base game returns much less than a normal slot. That's fine if you're chasing the big one. For clearing a wagering requirement it's a poor pick: at 88% you lose about three times as much per dollar wagered as on a 96% slot.

Taxes
Recreational winnings aren't taxed in Canada, from a provincial site or an offshore one. The CRA only steps in when it considers someone to be gambling as a business. Keep your cashier history all the same. If your bank ever asks about a large incoming e-Transfer, one downloaded transaction log settles it.
Limits you can set first
Registered sites in Ontario and Alberta must offer deposit limits, time limits and self-exclusion. Offshore casinos usually have the same tools under account settings, though sometimes you have to ask support. Set the casino's deposit limit a little under your bank's e-Transfer ceiling, so the casino is what stops you.
Short answers
Can I still pay with Interac Online?
No. Interac Online was discontinued on 31 October 2024. What works now is Interac e-Transfer and, at some casinos, an Interac debit card.
Does an e-Transfer deposit cost anything?
Casinos almost never charge for it. Whether your bank does depends on your plan, and most chequing accounts include e-Transfers. Watch for currency conversion if a casino keeps your balance in US dollars or euros.
Which casino pays out fastest by e-Transfer?
By their own published times, Casino Days pays e-Transfers the same day once your account is verified, and PlayOJO usually within 24 hours. The Baytree sites (Jackpot City, Spin, Ruby Fortune, Royal Vegas) hold requests for 24 hours first, and the Casino Rewards sites for 48.
Why did my withdrawal arrive in several parts?
Either the casino's own ceiling or your bank's daily receive limit capped it. Large wins are often paid out over days or weeks. Ask support for the schedule in writing.
Is it legal to use an offshore Interac casino from my province?
Outside Ontario and Alberta, the only provincially authorized online casinos are the lottery corporations' own sites. Canadian law targets whoever runs an unlicensed game, not the people playing it, and many Canadians play offshore. Those sites aren't supervised by your province, though, so a dispute goes through the casino's licensing body. In Ontario and Alberta, stick to registered operators.
I'm in Ontario. Why are there no bonuses on this page?
Ontario's standards ban advertising bonuses to the public; operators may show them only on their own site or to players who opted in. Alberta copied that rule. Sign in at a registered operator to see what you qualify for.
What's the smallest Interac deposit that gets a welcome offer?
C$1, at Zodiac Casino and Lucky Nugget, outside Ontario and Alberta. Everywhere else, C$10 is the practical minimum, and some newer brands start at C$20 or C$30.
